Be sober, be free, out of the box, grounded Native American, strong, gentle, an artist, jazz & blues singer, AVID swimmer, snorkeling, body diver. I howl at the moon. Whom I seek is a man who is continuing to grow through his recovery, within 25 miles of me,and who takes the time to spell check a note sent, takes the time to speak TO me not AT me. Be present to the moment, total sobriety in every way, no slips, I've had enough of that. I work my recovery with every breath I take.
I am a whole complete human being and a very loving, loyal compassionate woman. I will be treated with respect, and I believe in being 'courted'. That is a two way street. My hero as an author and a brilliant insightful teacher on how to really create a lasting healthy relationship. That is what is lacking in any recovery program, lessons in how to approach and engage in a healthy, loving non-enabling relationship. The authors name is Harville Hendrix, the name of his book is "Getting the Love you want". If you are willing to do the work that engaging in a truly healthy functional relationship requires, you will want to read this book - and do the workshop that goes with it. It's brilliant, and what every recovering person should have for the other side of addiction: healthy sobriety. This means a great deal to me.
