Breakin' the Habit of What I've Done!!! Hi! My name is JOHN & I'm a recovering, 35 year-old irish/italian July Leo. I have a post-graduate education, but choose to not work in my field of study. I am currently employed, working full-time & managing a sober house just north or Boston. I consider myself to be a caring, honest, loyal, responsible & understanding individual. My 11 year-old son is a well-adjusted, honor roll student & we have an excellent relationship. To me, recovery is a process into knowing the true self. Life is not one big lesson; it's alot of little lessons, to be learned thru one person or situation at a time. To me, gaining sobriety rests solely on one's abiliity to live in the present & prepare for a better tomorrow. You must build, no matter what. By setting realistic & attainable goals, the future seems brighter & that much more practical. At 35, I'd be totally screwed if i didn't know what i want out of life. In the past, I've measured success by one's material possessions or status in life. However, I've come to realize that the richest man is the one that stays true to himself, w/ out having to compromise his core values. God wills happiness, not Hum Vs or a big bank account. God wills forgiveness, not resentment & reservations to use. God wills togetherness, not an isolated lonely life. God wills alot of things, especially love for life. I am a survivor & so very grateful to be alive. It's not about where you've been, it's all about where you're going. It's not about who you were in the past, it's about who & what you are now. It's not about what you don't have, it's about what you've earned & have the ability to attain. I would like to find a wicked cool, down to earth & easy going woman on this site. Ya know, jeans & Ts kinda girl, not alot of make-up. Preferrably late 20s-early 30s. Must be single & comfortable w/ herself in most ways. Shy is OK; willing & honest is better.
