Somewhat Shy I find it difficult to get to know people at meetings, especially someone I might want to spend time with outside of meetings, for instance, to date. That social setting, I feel, is inappropriate to finding someone to date. I go to meetings because I want to stay sober and I want to help the newcomer (or old-timer) by sharing my experience, strength, and hope.

The way I work the program is very simple. Trust God, live with integrity, and help others. I don't go to meetings every day, and I'm not someone to say a lot of fancy things. I take things for what they are and accept what is. That way, I don't feel like drinking. I'm a happy person.
