i like to see people get healthy and into recovery I,am in the middle of college to be a drug and alcohol councellor youth worker .I have seen what addiction can do to a family and the addicted person its so sad and I can see how lots of people think that this is done on purpose and the person can just quit what they are doing and i know they can,t it is an emotional physical abusive thing that takes people from healthy people to the bottom of he pile and they are just like all of the rest of us they just found usually at a young age when they have had things happen in there life that are hard to deal with that when they take something that a friend offers them it takes the pain away for awhile and they feel ok and then the drugs take over because there body has parts that can get used to the drug of couse drinking alcohol or any kind of different chemicals and they become dependant on those substances for there bodies to work and feel normal for them and so they keep using and then before they know it there life is a mess and they are lost and lonely and scared they don,t know how to stop doing what they are doing but they do want to stop and there is lots of good help out there now not just a 28day take your money and send you on your way when your just starting to come around and make some sence out of whats happening .Ones that really work and can work on harm reduction and work slowly to get off the worst drugs first and get your head clear abit and work threw the long process of recovery I lost my husband to him being an alcoholic and being in the wrong place at the wrong time and he was killed in our cabin when it was set on fire by another alcoholic . I know the frustration of not knowing what to do and trying different ways and nothing is the right one I always knew it wasnt something he wanted to do he tried everything to quit but he had to many demonds from his years growing up and was very sensetive like most of the addict are thats way they need somethink to cope so I have worked with the other partner
